Sunlit, nearly empty living room with pale walls and a wooden floor on moving day

Local removals & packing

Your whole home, moved in one calm day

We are a small crew that packs, protects and places your belongings — working to a written quote you agree before anyone lifts a box, and to a plan you have walked through with the crew leader.

Quote agreed first

The figure is set from your inventory and access before the date is held, so the total does not change once the truck is loaded.

Blankets, straps, runners

Furniture padding, tie-downs and floor protection at both ends are standard on every booking, never an added line.

Windows that suit you

Early starts, weekdays and weekends, arranged around lift bookings and building access hours.

What we move

Five kinds of job, sized to the access

Crew size is decided by stairs, lift availability and how far the truck can park from the door — not by guesswork. Find the closest match below and tell us the details in the quote request.

01

Whole-home moves

Two to five bedrooms, packed or part-packed, including garages, sheds and the cupboard nobody has opened in years.

Usually three to four movers

02

Apartments & walk-ups

Narrow stairwells, tight landings and shared lifts. We measure the awkward pieces first and plan the route out before the day.

Lift booking confirmed in advance

03

Studios & single items

One-bedroom flats, a share-house room, or a single wardrobe, upright piano-sized item or sofa that will not fit through a stairwell.

Two movers, half-day window

04

Small business & studio

Office desks, stock shelving, workshop benches and tools, moved after hours so the shutters open on time the next morning.

Evening and Sunday starts

05

Storage transfers

Into a unit, out of one, or between two. We load to a plan so the things you need first stay at the front of the unit.

Moving day

Four stages, start to finish

Nothing about the day should be a surprise. This is the sequence the crew works to, and the point at which you are asked to check something.

01

Walkthrough

First fifteen minutes

The crew leader walks every room with you and confirms what travels, what stays, which boxes are fragile, and which door the truck will work from.

02

Pack & protect

Before anything is carried

Furniture is blanket-wrapped and strapped, drawers secured, mirrors and screens boxed, and runners laid across floors and doorways at both ends.

03

Load & transit

The middle of the day

Heaviest and squarest pieces load first, fragile cartons ride on top, and the inventory list is ticked at the door as the truck fills.

04

Place & clear

Before we leave

Beds and flat-pack are reassembled, every box lands in the room written on its label, and the used wrapping leaves with us.

Before you book

What is included, and what changes a quote

Removals pricing moves on volume, access and date. The left column never costs extra; the right column is what we need to hear about early so the quote stays accurate.

Included in every booking

No added lines

  • Moving blankets, straps and corner protection for furniture.
  • Wardrobe cartons on loan so hanging clothes travel on the rail.
  • Disassembly and reassembly of beds and standard flat-pack.
  • Floor runners and doorway padding at both addresses.
  • An inventory list ticked at load and again at delivery.
  • Used wrapping and packing material taken away with the crew.

Tell us in advance

These change crew, time or price

  • Stairs above the second floor where there is no working lift.
  • A lift that building management must book out for the move.
  • A loading bay or street permit the truck will need.
  • Pianos, safes, aquariums or full-size gym equipment.
  • A pickup and delivery in different towns on the same day.
  • Rooms you would rather pack yourself, so we skip them.

Field notes

Three things that make the day shorter

Small habits from crews who unload for a living. None of them cost anything, and all three save time at the far end.

Label by destination room

Write the room the box is going to, not the room it came from, and put it on the side of the carton rather than the lid. Stacked boxes hide their lids.

Pack a first-night crate

Kettle, chargers, bedding, towels, medication, tools for the bed frame. Keep it in your own car so it never joins the queue on the truck.

Book access before the truck

Lifts, loading bays and gate codes are the usual cause of a late start. Confirm them a week ahead and send us the times with your quote request.

Questions

Asked before most bookings

How far ahead should I book?

Two to three weeks is comfortable for a whole-home move and a week is usually enough for a studio. Month-end dates and the last Friday of the month go first, so if your lease or settlement lands there, ask early.

Do you pack for me, or should I pack myself?

Either. We can pack the whole house, take only the kitchen and fragile items, or carry what you have already boxed. Tell us which in the quote request and we will price the packing hours separately so you can compare.

What happens if my settlement or lease date moves?

Let us know as soon as you hear. We hold your crew and re-date to the nearest available slot at no charge where the calendar allows; only a same-week change into a fully booked day is difficult, and we will say so plainly.

Can you take the fridge and washing machine?

Yes. Empty and defrost the fridge the night before and leave the door ajar, and disconnect and drain the washing machine so the hoses can travel inside the drum. We wrap, trolley and reconnect where the fittings allow.

Do you work weekends and early mornings?

We do. Saturday and Sunday crews run all year, and early starts suit buildings with restricted lift hours. After-hours work for shops and studios is arranged so trading is not interrupted.

What cannot travel on the truck?

Fuel, gas bottles, fireworks, aerosols and open tins of paint or solvent. Plants and pets are better in your own car. Passports, jewellery, house keys, medication and anything irreplaceable should stay with you for the same reason.

How is the quote worked out?

From four things: the volume of what is moving, access at both ends, stairs or lift, and the date. Send the room count and anything unusual and you will get a written figure, not an hourly estimate that drifts.

Tell us about the move

Six details are enough for a written figure. If anything is still undecided, say so in the notes — we would rather quote around the uncertainty than around a guess.

We reply with a written quote and the crew size the job needs.
